About this deal

Washing hands in the washing up/food prep sink is not considered hygienic in commercial kitchens so assume it has come from that. They can be used as a kitchen washing up sink or a utility room sink used for washing items such as boots and even dogs. Of course, washing up bowls have many more uses than that – you can use them to expand your sink space, for example to have a soaking bowl or a rinsing bowl, or you can carry it around when you’re cleaning the windows or your car. While we have taken care in preparing this summary and believe it to be accurate, it is not a substitute for reading the product packaging and label prior to use. OH likes Butler/Belfast sinks and I admit they look so nice but I have a feeling not as practical as an 'ordinary'sink, at present I have a stainless steel with one and half bowls which is so handy when preparing veg.

Our washing up bowl is under sized, so there is a gap on one side for pouring stuff away or rinsing out messy pans before putting them in the washing up bowl. Eventually, they'll get a nice patina and therefore, much like a really fine wine, will only get better over time. Addis is a leading brand of plastic kitchen storage and invented the toothbrush in 1780 in East London, which came to be sold under the Wisdom brand. My washing up bowl gets cleaned regularly with bleach or disinfectant, and wiped down after every use, so no nasty, lurking germs festering on it at all.

It was invented by Maiju Gebhard in 1944 and there are several pictures of this here: https://mittuniversum. There was a zinc bath hanging from a nail in the wash-house, but it was never used because all functions were performed at the sink. We arrived at that point of human development with a perfectly acceptable, fully functioning, completely practical, utterly simple and thoroughly hygienic item of kitchen equipment that fulfilled our requirements. It is lovely and sturdy (or has been) as I like to wash up with a full bowl of water, and it has seen years of use. Our Oval brushes are made with a careful ratio of natural bristle to synthetic fibre ratio, constructed particularly for superior chalk paint ‘pick-up’.

I think we’re going to get a lot more companies trying to sell us things we didn’t know we needed – like SS washing up bowls! Easy Crackle Frenchic Easy Crackle is a fun, interiors aged-effect invention which is applied between two contrasting colours of Frenchic Furniture Paint. It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without Wm Morrisons Supermarkets Limited prior consent, nor without due acknowledgement. I had wooden work tops in my last kitchen but found it a faff to oil them so I had granite this time. I would imagine High Cup is spectacular late in the year with a scattering of snow, or on one of those clear frosty mornings with a perfect blue sky.

Put a bowl in the sink and you can pour your liquids down the side, perfect if you don’t have a draining section in your sink unit. And I can carry on putting stuff into the bowl, while using the sink for something else, like draining off water from thinks I’m cooking.

Although the terms are often used interchangeably, there are some subtle differences between butler and belfast sinks.
