Being a carer for your complex children’s needs is enough to make any upset cause a breakdown as you are always worrying, exhausted and protective at the same time. We also share information about your use of our site with our social media, advertising and analytics partners.I really feel for them all what an awful time they have had with the media, family they are meant to put their trust in, and in some instances, supposedly close friends. To access your ebook(s) after purchasing, you can download the free Glose app or read instantly on your browser by logging into Glose. Amy gave a balanced and honest viewpoint of everything in both hers and Katie's life, which was refreshing to read. Also with Amy having a health condition that I may well one day end up with I was interested to see how she is coping. Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook).

I've listened to the audio version of this over the last week and I've got to say the narrator is great. The book is brilliantly written and besides all the hate Kate gets well I'm someone that don't bother listening to the false and exagerated stories the press make! If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance.I just hope she and the whole family get a break as I do think over the years they’ve had a lot of negativity unfairly many times too . I hope she one day reads up about these types of people and realises that their behaviour is on them, not her. We will post your book review within a day or so as long as it meets our guidelines and terms and conditions. This book isn't biased and she really does give some of her family's life choices a good going over. I really enjoyed hearing more about Amy's life, as well as the life of Katie, her brother and sister, and Katie's children and ex partners.

A talented swimmer, she seemed destined for the Olympics, however experience of sexual abuse cut short her career, and she chose motherhood over medals. Amy achieved a successful career while raising three children who all earned success in various fields; but for one, Katie, fame was part of the bargain.I do sympathise with Kate it’s not easy at all having a disabled child until you love it you can only assume I know this first hand and I’m glad she has a strong mother like Amy she needs that .

While i dont think kate is innocent or has been willing to take responsibility i do feel for the amount of crap shes gotten unfairly and she is undoubtedly a strong woman. I picked this book for another August 'Bookshelf Raiders' read because of the fact I am a mother, and I hold the belief that no one loves or knows you as a mother does. I loved how Amy wrote of how close her immediate family are and how they can always cherish that and support each other. Her mother is a strong woman and I didn’t realise has undergone a lung transplant - I wish her all the best even though it is hard as she probably won’t recover but hope she can hang on longer now she has had the transplant.
