About this deal

It won't cost you extra, yet it will financially support me a bit in my ongoing quest for great affordable audio. the sound quality on default donner setting is actually good, its balanced for all music and sounds just as good as any other quality ear phone. With the charging case, of course, you can do repeat charges which will bring it up to about 32 hours of use with the active noise-canceling off, and 26 hours with it on. Pushing the earbuds deep into the ears can somehow reduce the treble peak, but it never goes away and can cause fatigue over time.

Very bass heavy, but possible to tweak with both the app and third party EQ to make them sound better. However I'm coming from the nothing ear 1s I lost and needed something to get me by and I can tell you these aren't nearly as crisp and clear as those. I would say that I easily got +24hrs out of these buds with just one charge using ANC constantly and with the volume at around 70-75% on average, so these passed my expectations in terms of needing to charge them regularly. Donner may be a newcomer to the world of wireless earbuds, but its debut already has full free app support for iPhone and Android. In Normal mode, the focus was still on the audio, but I could pick out sounds that were closer to me. Car horns and whistles could also be heard from about two blocks out, but neither were huge distractions.

Headphones have great audio, but whenever I’m on VC with my friends, it switches to this weird mode and the audio sucks and the mic sucks when it’s in this mode. Add to that the distorted bass at high listening volumes, and Donner suddenly has some work in their hands. You’ll hear more of your music with these earbuds than you will with those that prioritize lower frequencies.I was super excited when I got them because I could immediately see on the side of the box that they were a hybrid dual driver, true wireless, active noise-canceling earbud. Clear, not boomy base, sparkling defined highs and a midrange that is well defined without overpowering the other frequencies. The double bass had some stellar reverb that tickled my ears with every pluck and blended nicely with the soulful sax and striking hi-hats. It is an all-around excellent product, worthy to be put right beside other major brands you may be considering.

The dynamic driver and the balanced armature driver play off each other beautifully with that dynamic driver bringing some good deep bottom end and the balanced armature bringing some warmth, detailing and some tightness to it all. Every time I’ve taken them out of the case and put them in my ears they’ve paired effortlessly and the range is excellent. As far as the sound from the earphones themselves, they stayed steady, but the real issue is their ability to stay in the ear while water pours off your head and face, I had to repeatedly push the ear pods back into my ears because the water would get behind them, which in turn would affect the sound. No matter how active I am they never feel like they're going to fall out and they feel comfortable throughout use. The case and headphones themselves strike as a top-quality, almost luxury product: pleasant materials, thoughtful indicators, and a generous set of ear adapters of very soft and pleasant material. There should be enough volume for most people, and it's definitely not as restricted as the recently reviewed FiiTii HifiAir, but some may still want it louder.
