About this deal

If connected to some studs it makes for an excellent display piece on any desk of a Lego or train enthusiast. I appreciate this blog because it helps me understand how to build Legos or tells me who and what they are.

The roll of wrapping paper (technic pin connector 62462) mounted on a holder of technic pin (4274) and Pearl Gold taps (4599b) is simple but effective. Having only the one figure visible on the box is a great move and making the others a surprise mirrors the popular surprise pets contained in the Friends Play Cube series this year. The Harry Potter Advent Calendar continues to impress in the best way possible – these obscure little models are brilliant, and are really aimed at fans of the Harry Potter movie. While I’m not much of a fun of the new trilogy, I wouldn’t mind picking up a few of this minifig just for the printed torso piece. Also, I think that you are very creative with positioning the Harry Potter figure with the Hogwarts castle. But I think the hairpiece is unique to this calendar and the clock tower so Lego must have done that on purpose. Then again, there’s no “right way” to do an Advent Calendar, and some people do the reverse countdown, so if it works for you, all power to you as you should just enjoy in whatever way you can ? Note that both Darth and Poe’s torsos are printed on both sides and Poe has a double printed head as well so you can have him showing a frowny face when you toss snowballs at him! He comes with his cape and lightsaber, although it might have been even more fun to see his cape somehow match the sweater!

Am so happy to help identify them and that you’ve made visiting the blog a routine – it means heaps. With the animated series LEGO City Adventures rise in popularity, the same cast of characters has started showing up in the regular LEGO City line; this set is no exception.Lego could have used this opportunity to give us something really different, say a minifig of Ackmena, owner of a (the? Thanks so much for following on the countdown – whether you have been following the Advent Countdown for years, or halfway through, I hope you’ve enjoyed the journey! Each advent calendar consists of 24 marked doors allowing you to open one door to reveal and build a small LEGO mini build or minifigure each day of December leading up to Christmas Eve on the 24th.

Only other problem I’ve had was with a generic missing piece last year, but rummaging through years’ worth of spares sorted me out. Darth Vader – My pick for the top minifig in this set is easily the Darth Vader with his Death Star Christmas sweater which is just as cool looking. Do note that I’m based in Melbourne, Australia (GMT +11) so we’re ahead of most of the world (except New Zealand) so to avoid spoilers, try to come back to this post after you’ve opened your window and built the daily model especially if you’re located in other timezones like the US or UK. Its also a little disappointing that Harry, Ron and Hermione are the same variants that are in the Clock Tower.Presumingly, based on the figures on the box, this is from the famous Yule Ball from the Goblet of Fire. I too prefer the Harry Potter books as that’s what I grew up with as well, but the movies are special in their own right. Hi, in the book Parvati has pink robes and Padma has turquoise so could these minifigures be both twins, not Cho? Harry Potter – Despite being a figure that is available in another set there is a lot that is great about this figure.

There are also a few good ideas for micro builds, but too many of them I looked at and felt “ehh” about although there were at least no weapons stand again this year.Hey Scott, it’s become a massive tradition for me too, and can’t imagine a December without counting down with everyone else. I hope to see you this time next year for the 2021 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar if they’re making one again! If you look at it side by side with set 75251, it’s a spot-on match and a nice wave to Ralph McQuarrie’s original concept. I think that it is probably even better than the Star Wars advent calendar so far, but I doubt that it will continue to last… Star Wars has so many things you can make micro builds of, but I bet that the Harry Potter one will just squeeze out one more, that being the beauxbatons carriage, as there are barely any other vehicles in the Harry Potter universe, with perhaps the exception of things that may be difficult to make in micro form, such as the knight bus, Sirius’ motor bike, or the flying Ford Angila. The carriage, with its pale blue body is pulled by a micro Pegasus which is just stunning, how they got the look right with such simple parts.
